Tea Guarascio (Crotone 1974) photographer free-lance, working on a degree in anthropology, always nurturing a life-long passion for the arts and visual language as a representation of the contemporary culture.
In 1998 she began working certain installations, scenographical structures and sculptures. Since 00’ in Berlin she would neared herself to the scene of body art. In Berlin she created costumes out of inflatable tubes, silicone, latex, and started working with various metals. Returning in 2001 to Italy, in timing with the forming of group “Ofiura” with which she collaborated on an iconoclastic theatrical project. Since 2002, as photographer , followed the roman scene of body art. In ’03 she achieves diploma at the University for visual communication SRDF (in Rome). Her anthropological studies use photography as language to express what surrounds her, above all what she experiments first person come together and became profound. Earning in 2004, a certificate in reportage, and busying herself with culture and subculture, artistic expressions, places and bodies of the underground.
A personal story of development and exploration, of discovery of forms, and of cognitive and mental organization. Now she is the official photographer of the factory: Officine Guano and Cabaret Electrico di Riccardo Mannelli. Recently she start to realizes some videos in collaboration with various artists.
